ARC-1882ix-12/16/24 series include one DIMM socket with default 1GB of ECC Register DDR3-133 SDRAM with optional battery backup module, upgrade to 4GB. The ARC-1882i/1882x/1882LP low profile low-profile MD2 form factor adapters default support 1GB DDR3-1333 on-board memory. Those low profile adapters are ideal for 1U/2U servers.

The ARC-1882 series new line adapters raise the standard to higher performance levels with several enhancements including a new high-performance 800Mhz dual core RAID-on-Chip processor, a DDR3-1333 memory architecture, 6Gb/s SAS-2 and PCIe 2.0 x8 lanes host interface bus interconnection. By incorporating many new advanced features, ARC-1882 series 6Gb/s SAS RAID adapters provide all of the necessary capabilities for applications to achieve the maximum possible availability, reliability, scalabilityand performance. Leveraging existed RAID adapter’s technology, the adapters provide the same customers familiar API, CLI, McBIOS manager or browser-based McRAID manager management tool to simplify the creation, monitoring and maintenance of storage configurations.

The 6Gb/s SAS RAID adapters can also provide hardware RAID levels 0, 1, 1E, 3, 5, 6, 10, 00,100, 30, 50, 60, Single Disk or JBOD for maximum configuration flexibility. The 6Gb/s SAS RAID adapters support broad operating system including Windows 7/2008/Vista/2003/XP, Linux (Open Source), FreeBSD (Open Source), Solaris (Open Source), Mac OS X, VMware and more, along with key system monitoring features such as enclosure management(SES-2, SMP,I2C & SGPIO) and SNMP function.
